GERMAN C1 – Goethe-Zertifikat C1

Description:
This advanced-level course follows the official Goethe-Institut C1 curriculum and prepares learners to use German effectively and flexibly in academic, professional, and social contexts. You will develop a high level of comprehension, fluency, and precision, enabling you to understand complex texts, follow demanding discussions, and express yourself clearly and appropriately. The course includes focused exam preparation for the Goethe-Zertifikat C1.

You will learn to:
• Understand a wide range of demanding spoken and written texts, including academic and professional materials
• Express ideas fluently, spontaneously, and precisely with appropriate register and style
• Develop well-structured arguments and present opinions in discussions and presentations
• Communicate confidently in professional, academic, and social situations
• Write complex, well-organized texts such as essays, reports, summaries, and formal correspondence

• Advanced sentence structures and stylistic variation
• Subordinate clauses and complex connectors
• Passive voice and alternative passive constructions
• Konjunktiv I and II for reported speech, hypotheses, and formality
• Advanced nominalization and verb–noun constructions
• Prepositions and case usage at an advanced level
• Cohesive devices and discourse markers
• Formal and informal register differentiation

Exam preparation:
Intensive practice with model tests, academic-style writing tasks, speaking presentations, discussions, listening comprehension, and reading strategies aligned with the Goethe-Zertifikat C1 exam format.
