GERMAN B1 – Goethe-Zertifikat B1

Description:
This intermediate-level course follows the official Goethe-Institut B1 curriculum and further develops the skills acquired at A2 level. You will learn to communicate clearly and independently in everyday, academic, and professional situations, understand the main points of spoken and written texts, and express opinions and experiences in a structured way. The course includes focused exam preparation for the Goethe-Zertifikat B1.

You will learn to:
• Express opinions, preferences, and arguments
• Describe experiences, events, and future plans
• Understand the main ideas of conversations, articles, and announcements
• Communicate effectively at work, in education, and while traveling
• Write structured texts such as emails, reports, and short essays

Grammar & Skills:
• Review of all A2 grammar
• Past tenses (Perfekt and Präteritum of common verbs)
• Future tense (werden)
• Passive voice (Präsens)
• Subordinate clauses (weil, dass, wenn, obwohl)
• Relative clauses (basic forms)
• Adjective declension
• Prepositions with Genitive and Dative
• Word order in complex sentences

Exam preparation:
Model tests, speaking presentations, roleplays, listening comprehension, reading strategies, and writing tasks aligned with the Goethe-Zertifikat B1 exam format.

Goal:
Successfully pass the Goethe-Zertifikat B1 and communicate confidently and independently in German-speaking academic, professional, and everyday contexts.
