GERMAN A2 – Goethe-Zertifikat A2

Description:

This elementary-level course follows the official Goethe-Institut A2 curriculum and builds on A1 knowledge. You will learn to communicate more confidently in everyday and familiar situations, understand short texts and conversations, and express yourself using simple connected sentences. The course includes focused exam preparation for the Goethe-Zertifikat A2.

You will learn to:

• Talk about daily life, routines, and past experiences

• Describe people, places, and objects in more detail

• Express needs, preferences, and simple opinions

• Handle practical situations such as housing, shopping, health, and travel

• Ask for and give basic information politely

• Write short texts, emails, and messages

Grammar & Skills:

• Present tense review and past tense (Perfekt)

• Modal verbs (können, müssen, möchten, sollen)

• Separable verbs and reflexive verbs

• Dative case and two-way prepositions

• Adjective endings (basic forms)

• Comparative forms (größer, besser)

• Connectors (und, aber, weil, denn)

• Sentence structure in main and subordinate clauses

Exam preparation:

Model tests, reading and listening strategies, speaking roleplays, writing tasks, and grammar practice based on the Goethe-Zertifikat A2 exam format.

Goal:

Successfully pass the Goethe-Zertifikat A2 and communicate independently in common everyday situations in German-speaking countries.
